Celebrating 20 years of asset management in US
This year marks a significant milestone for our business: 20 years of asset management in Chicago. What began in 2006 as a small, ambitious team in a Chicago suburb is today a firm with $258+ billion assets under management and nearly 270 team members committed to helping our clients achieve their long-term financial goals.

The global enterprise: Legal & General
L&G – Asset Management, America is the US division of a global platform that has been helping clients achieve their goals for 189 years. In 1836, six lawyers met in a coffee shop in London to establish an insurance company for the legal community. Later made available to the general public, it was named Legal & General Life Assurance Society. Over the years, the name was shortened to Legal & General. In 1970, Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) was established to manage assets for pension funds, institutional, and private clients. The company expanded to the US in 2006 to establish Legal & General Investment Management America (LGIMA). In 2025, LGIM and LGIMA were rebranded under a new Asset Management division of L&G.
